True originality does not exist

Art is imitation, not spontaneous creation.

Originality is novel recombination. The only true originality is audience perception. You can never fully be original.

So you have to follow your own path by acting on your greatest inspiration. And the only way you know you’re on the right path is because the path disappears.

Alignment with the natural flow of life is personal. It cannot be forced or dictated by others. To align your actions with nature and reason, you have to abandon the crowd’s opinion and honour what resonates most sincerely to you.

You cannot wait until you ‘know thyself’. You can never fully know yourself, and that’s a good thing, not a flaw – it’s the point. The parts you haven’t met yet are the ones still shaping you. Mystery keeps you growing.

You cannot blindly follow your passion. Passion is the reward, not the starting point. Mastery creates passion. Not the other way around.

Good ideas do not speak for themselves. They need a loud advocate. Otherwise they vanish. So it is not only for your own good, but your duty to create from what inspires you.
